Chapter2, which provides male mentors for fatherless boys, is hosting a mentor training day for anyone interested in mentoring a fatherless boy in the local area!

The training day will take place on 6 June 2026 at Reading Family Church from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Attending the training day does not oblige you to become a mentor, but men who are interested in mentoring are encouraged to come and see if it’s something they’d be willing to commit to.

This day provides mandatory training for all our potential mentors. With presentations, discussion, video clips and lots of interaction, we will look at the impact of fatherlessness and the reasons why mentoring is so important. We’ll explore communication, empathy, trauma, safeguarding and also the nuts and bolts of what Chapter2 mentoring involves.

Prior to applying to be a Chapter2 mentor we ask anyone interested to take part in this training day to find out more and learn what being a Chapter2 mentor entails.
