Faith organisations play a vital role in our communities, often supporting some of our most vulnerable residents. The Disclosure and Barring Service recognises this important work and is hosting free information sessions to help faith groups understand their safeguarding responsibilities.

These pop-up events will provide practical guidance on when and how to make referrals under the legal duty to refer, helping ensure that individuals who may pose a risk are appropriately managed. The sessions are designed for faith leaders, trustees, volunteers, and anyone involved in running faith-based activities.

The events are free to attend and can be booked here, making them as accessible as possible for busy volunteers and community leaders. DBS experts will be available to answer questions and provide tailored guidance for different types of faith organisations.
