Join Cianna’s Smile, a leading charity that provides essential support to individuals and families living with Sickle Cell. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to fill the following positions at our Central Reading office!
Some of the exciting opportunities available:
1. Youth Worker – 4 hours per week
As a Youth Worker, you’ll engage with young people impacted by Sickle Cell, helping to create a supportive and encouraging environment.
Responsibilities: Help organise and deliver activities, workshops and discussions for young people. Build trusting relationships to support their emotional well-being. Assist with mentoring and personal development. Support the planning of youth events.
Must agree to an enhanced DBS check for this role.
2. Administrator – 6 hours per week
Help keep the day-to-day operations running smoothly in this vital administrative role. Responsibilities: Answer phone and email enquiries. Maintain and organise files and documents. Manage schedules and meetings. Assist with office organisation and record-keeping.
3. Volunteer Coordinator – 6 hours per week
Help manage and coordinate our amazing team of volunteers!
Role Responsibilities: Recruit and onboard new volunteers. Organise volunteer schedules and duties. Provide ongoing support and development to the volunteer team. Plan volunteer recognition and training events.
4. Community Engagement Officer – 4 hours per week
Support us in building strong relationships with the local community.
Help to develop and deliver outreach programs. Organise community events and awareness campaigns. Foster relationships with local organisations, schools, and businesses. Collect feedback and ideas from the community to help shape future projects.
5. Social Media and Content Creator – 6 hours per week
Help us raise awareness of Sickle Cell by creating engaging and impactful online content.
Develop and manage social media content across platforms . Create blogs, videos and posts to raise awareness of the charity’s work. Assist with website updates.
