REDA is offering public speaking training, which will be taught by actors and RVA has arranged one free space for a charity or community group to attend.
This is a two hour practical session led by one of the UK’s leading professional theatre companies.
At this practical, interactive session you’ll work with RABBLE Theatre’s professional team to develop your skills in speaking in public:
- Theatrical tricks to boost your time in the spotlight
- Capturing and maintaining an audience’s attention
- Using rhetoric, statistics, humour and detail to keep your crowd hooked
- Technical vocal skills and tricks
- Using imagery to support your speech
- How to research effectively and efficiently
- Creating speeches at both short notice and with a healthy lead-in time
Don’t miss this opportunity to boost your communication skills and make a lasting impact.
To book the free charity space, please contact training@rva.org.uk. Priority will be given to charities delivering services in Reading and the session is most suitable for someone who will then carry out public speaking on behalf of the charity, for example the manager, CEO or a Trustee.
