Reading Half Marathon – Donations available to groups providing volunteer support

The annual Reading Half Marathon takes place on Sunday 14th April 2024

We are currently seeking volunteers to join Volunteer Groups stationed around the Marathon’s route. Any not-for-profit group can apply to help and will receive a donation of £100 plus £10 for every volunteer they supply.

There are several locations and roles available:

Location – Finish Funnel, Reading Football Club Stadium

Numbers – 11 people, 1 Team Leader and 10 Marshals

Time – 07.15 – 15.00

Role – Handing out goodies after runners finish

 

Location – Between Abbey Street and Friar Street. Incl. The Forbury

Numbers – 10 people, 1 Team Leader and 9 Marshals

Time – 08.45 – 13.00

Role – Make sure runners go the right way, protect the integrity of the route.

 

Location – Kendrick Rd jw/London Rd, London Street to Mill Lane

Numbers – 10 people, 1 Team Leader and 9 Marshals

Time – 08.45 – 12.45

Role – Make sure runners go the right way, protect the integrity of the route.

 

Location – A33 from Rose Kiln Lane to Northern Way/Stadium entrance

Numbers – 10 people, 1 Team Leader and 9 Marshals

Time – 08.45 – 14.00

Role – Make sure runners go the right way, protect the integrity of the route.

 

Location – Hartland Rd

Numbers – 9 people, 1 Team Leader and 8 Marshals

Time – 08.30 – 12.30

Role – Make sure runners go the right way, protect the integrity of the route.
