We have been at the forefront of adoption services for over 60 years, working with local authorities across the country. With our outstanding Ofsted rating, we work with a high degree of flexibility and innovation and adopters from all backgrounds.
This is a key post in an innovative two-year early permanence project in partnership with Adopt South, the core aims are to:
• develop specialist support for early permanent carers/prospective adopters
• develop support for parents
• develop training and education for professionals, carers, families
• encourage care planning teams and professionals to consider early permanence as an option for children
We are looking for someone with a good knowledge of adoption and/or fostering acquired through a personal, professional or voluntary capacity. You will be experienced in providing exemplary support to families.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and communicate effectively with service users and external agencies, alongside an empathetic and supportive approach. Experience of working with families whose children have been placed in alternative care would be an advantage.
