We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident, self-starter to join our friendly team and develop a community fundraising plan that motivates the local community to become supporters of Reading Mencap.
The post holder will develop and nurture relationships with individuals, groups of supporters, volunteers and potential funders and also devise, lead and manage an events programme.
The ideal candidate will relish the variety this role brings; recruiting volunteers, sourcing raffle prizes, setting budgets for events, carrying out research and so much more.
Ideally, you will have significant experience of generating income, ideally in a community (or other related) fundraising role in a charity. However, a drive and commitment to sell the charity are more important than fundraising experience.
