Sport in Mind are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly volunteer to support at our allotment group at Woodley Allotments on Reading Road every Tuesday 11-1PM.
This is a great opportunity to share/gain knowledge of gardening and growing techniques – and to support people in the local community who are experiencing mental health problems in a safe, supported, and welcoming environment.
You don’t have to have any experience of gardening, but you will need to have a good grasp of ‘softer skills’ – we are looking for someone who is approachable, patient, and understanding to make sure that our attendees gain the maximum benefit from attending our allotment group.
