Homeshare Development Co-ordinator – closing date 30 July 2021

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to help us develop our exciting new Homeshare project in the Reading area.

Homeshare brings together older householders who have spare rooms with those who are happy to chat and lend a hand around the house, in return for affordable, sociable accommodation.

You can find out more and watch a video here:

You will promote and develop the project, interview candidates and arrange matches. You will also be responsible for staying in contact with the clients and helping to resolve any issues that may crop up. You’ll be trained in Safeguarding and will be responsible for keeping the principles of safeguarding at the heart of the project. You will be mostly home based and working remotely as part of our core team. The role will also take you out into the community to meet candidates and undertake networking and promotion.

You will need to be a confident IT user and driver and have a real passion for meeting lonely people and helping to improve their lives. You’ll need to be able to work collaboratively with the team and partners from home, and be motivated to push the project forward.

This is a part-time role, 18 hours per week.
