We are looking for people who are outgoing, fairly confident, and happy to talk about Advocacy
Marketing / PR volunteers needed for The Advocacy People
Do you enjoy talking to people?
Do you believe in everyone having an effective voice in how they are supported with health or social services?
Are you passionate about improvement in health and social services?
This publicity role involves:
– Contacting relevant organisations with information about us
– Distributing our leaflets and posters
– Helping with seAp stall at events
– Speaking to groups about seAp and Advocacy
We are looking for people who are outgoing, fairly confident, and happy to talk about Advocacy (after induction and training) to all sorts of people – good communicators who also listen well and keep confidentiality.
We need volunteers for one to two days a week for a minimum of six months – working from home and out and about. Your own transport would be useful but not essential. You need also to have internet at home or ready access to it elsewhere.
By volunteering with us, a respected national charity, you would gain experience in publicity, develop your communication skills, and learn more about Advocacy. Or you may just be motivated to tell other people about these free services which may make a vital difference to them.
