We are seeking volunteers to assist in the running of a social enterprise pop-up shop in Broad Street Mall.
Against the Grain is a social enterprise which gives NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) young people (16-19) at risk a unique opportunity to enhance their employability and build their confidence by contributing to a successful furniture upcycling business.
Volunteers will assist with:
- Talking to customers to promote Charity and promote Sales and Commissions.
- Recording Sales and capturing customer details.
- Keeping shop area tidy.
- Assisting with tasks of the day – workshops/up-cycling projects.
This is a great opportunity to get involved in a unique project making a difference to the lives of young people in Reading.
