We are seeking a volunteer to assist with our job club
The volunteer will assist clients with a range of assistance including:
- Understanding the processes of JSA (what questions will they ask them, what do they have to do in return)
- Creating and developing CV.
- Look at referrals to our English Classes if necessary.
- Help with job searches.
- Practice interview questions and etiquette.
- Signpost for skill development locally.
You will have the support of a former client who is an Arabic speaker and other volunteers at the sessions.
Volunteers will help clients overcome a range of challenges:
- Language difficulties.
- Illiteracy.
- Cultural differences and understanding new job roles.
- Identifying transferable skills for employers.
- Discrimination by employers.
