Help manage our fundraising efforts to support extra-curricular activities
Trustee / Committee volunteer needed for Red Balloon Reading in RG1
Red Balloon supports young people who self-exclude from school and are missing education because of bullying or other trauma. Red Balloon – Reading opened in September 2011 and has grown into a thriving community.
At the heart of our community are the students themselves and though the names and faces change from time to time, our cohort continues to be made up of the most courageous and caring young people in the Thames Valley area.
Red Balloon Reading are seeking an additional Fundraising Trustee to bring their skill and drive to our board.
The money raised through fundraising supports extra-curricular activities from badminton to bake-sales and from kayaking to karate.
Such activities can have a real impact on our students. For example, as a result of a visit to a garden centre there has been a renewed interest in gardening. There have also been visits to Ufton Court and Dominos Pizza.
