Could you be the next Chair of this well respected charity?

Trustee / Committee volunteer needed for Age UK Berkshire in RG1

We are looking for a new Chair of the Board, as the existing Chair will be standing down in 2016.

This is a highly-responsible and highly-rewarding role with a well-known charity that has operated in Berkshire since 1958.

Age UK Berkshire need someone with enthusiasm to govern the organisation, lead the existing Board of Trustees and to extend the skills Trustees offer in their support of the employee and volunteer team.

The Board of Trustees currently comprises the Chair, the Treasurer, and two other Trustees; the current Chair has indicated that he will be moving out of the area and a new Chair is sought to take over this year.

Previous experience of being a Trustee or of working or volunteering with a charity is desirable, but not absolutely essential for the right person. A full training and induction programme is available, as well as links with and support from national Age UK.

Details of the role and duties can be found HERE
