Our organisation tackles the socially isolated older people in our community, we provide a safe friendly environment to meet old friends and make new ones, we target the socially isolated in the elderly community because they are more vulnerable than any other in our community, our way of getting them out of the house is to use a free hot meal every day if they want it which encourages them to come out, we have great success in that they help each other out with shopping for those who cannot get around so good, it gives them somewhere to go and we help them by feeding them a hot meal so they don’t have to, it saves them money and they have a healthy meal each day and company.
