The Advocacy People is an independent charity, providing free and confidential support promoting equality and social justice. Our advocates support, amongst many others, people living with dementia, and people with physical or learning disabilities being cared for by the local authority.

When decisions are being made about a person’s health and social care, we make sure their rights are upheld and their wishes are represented. We take time to find out who a person is, what they feel, and how they would like their life to be, and we help them to speak up for themselves.
