First Days is a local charity with a national vision. We believe that communities can be transformed through kindness and giving. We collect donated clothes, equipment, furniture and toys and redistribute them to families in need. Families who need support are referred to First Days by professionals. We believe that access to good quality clothes, equipment, furniture and toys can help to reduce inequality for children. 

First Days was started by a local Mum who realised that her family, like many others, had a lot of things that were in great condition but not needed anymore. Instead of throwing them away she decided to give them to local families in need but found this hard to do – First Days born to facilitate this redistribution. Since it started in early 2013 the charity has grown and become an established source of support for local families in need.
