To celebrate International Women’s Day, Alternative Queen of Reading hosts an annual charity event.

Events held under the Alt Queen banner seek to promote the diversity of Reading and to celebrate the beauty in difference. The annual cabaret evening showcases the weird, the wonderful and the downright eccentric side of Reading.

The 2014 event will be held on Friday March 7th at Shehnai and will raise money for SupportU, the South East’s LGBT health and wellbeing centre, and Rosa, which supports projects that benefit women and girls in the UK.
