Thames Water’s Charities Committee meet twice a year in March and October to consider donations for registered charities whose projects relate to our WaterWorks! Programme. One third of the Charities Committee’s budget is allocated to WaterAid the Company’s principal charity.

Over the next four years, with the help of our employees, suppliers, contractors and customers we are hoping to raise £2m for WaterAid. Our target is to raise £500,000 a year, which will be split equally between:

* Helping WaterAid continue with it’s mission to overcome poverty by enabling the world’s poorest people gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.
* Directly funding WaterAid’s work in the poorest areas of four small Bangladesh towns.
