We are looking for volunteers to support our horticultural therapists in delivering our gardening programmes to people with a range of disabilities or ill health.
- To develop social interaction with our client gardeners and to encourage them to work with and talk with others
- Demonstrating or guiding with tasks such as sowing seeds, watering, mowing, pruning, etc.
- Supervise, with others, the client gardener group over lunch breaks and occasionally when the therapists are engaged in assessing and related paperwork
- Watching out for the health and safety of those you are working with
We hold monthly taster sessions for potential volunteers to come along and find out more.
