Fundraising volunteers needed for Reading Samaritans in RG1

The Fundraising Trustee is responsible for fundraising activities of the charity, including putting together a fundraising plan and fundraising to achieve that plan.

  • Plan an achievable approach to raise the necessary funds to support Reading Samaritans’ operational need as agreed with the Board of Trustees.
  • Liaise with the Treasurer during the Budget preparation to communicate and discuss the fundraising plan. Also liaise throughout the year to keep the fundraising forecast updated.
  • Update the Board of Trustees on a regular basis of planned fundraising activities and funds raised from previous activities.
  • Co-ordinate and work closely with all fundraising volunteers, ensuring effective and regular communication is maintained.
  • Research sources of funds from various places, including large corporates, high net worth individuals and grant giving Trusts.
  • Organise and co-ordinate fundraising events to raise funds required by Reading Samaritans, involving other volunteers where required
  • Prepare and submit applications for funding on behalf of Reading Samaritans.
  • Thank donors for the donations within a timely manner.
