Talkback helps people with learning disabilities to live a full and meaningful life. Society doesn’t understand their problems and they are often ignored, bullied or shunned. Families can struggle to cope with caring for their loved one.
Talkback changes this into a future of hope by helping each individual gain more independence and to have the chance to say how they want to live their life.
Talkback works across Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Reading and helps in lots of different ways to support people with a learning disability. We focus on supporting people to develop skills for everyday life at home, work or other activity and in the community. We want to achieve choice, opportunity and respect for all people with a learning disability.
We run self-advocacy groups in the community and in settings where people with a learning disability live, study and spend their time. We also provide Care Act advocacy for people with a learning disability.
