RESCUE is a bi-annual environmental clean up event to help keep the rivers, green spaces and urban areas in and around Reading tidy. The clean up relies on the local business and voluntary community to form a ‘clean up team’ to take part. Each year the event is sponsored by Thames Water. In 2014, RESCUE is celebrating 25 years.

The RESCUE Steering Group is made up of Ricky Josey from Oxford Road Community Garden and other groups which take part in the event.

Our events take place every March and October. Groups are asked to register online via our website and individuals are asked to contact RESCUE directly to find a group.
