Junction Dance is a new dance umbrella organisation in Reading.

We are here to provide support, networking and professional development opportunities for local professionals and aspiring dancers, as well as helping to bring some of the world’s most exciting dance companies to town.

We have run the month-long festival Dance Reading in 2016, including a number of indoor and outdoor performances, both professional and participatory; a professional development strand; workshops with top-notch dance professionals from around the UK. Dance Reading was supported by Reading Borough Council, Reading CIC for the Year of Culture, and Arts Council England using public funding through the National Lottery.

We have run JUMP, a dance platform event in 2015 and 2016, which showcased the talents of a number of local youth dance companies and professional dancers from within and outside Reading.

Junction Dance helped create and continues to support the Reading Dance Professionals Network.
