Youth Support Worker – closing date 31 October 2022

Working closely with the Youth Work Manager and the wider Berkshire Youth Team, you will support the development and delivery of our centre-based and detached youth programmes.

You will be responsible for building strong, professional relationships with young people, and to actively engage and encourage their participation in their community.

You will contribute to the planning and delivery of a wide range of engaging sessions, activities and programmes for young people.
Working in partnership with the other youth workers on the team, the team leader, and other professional partners, you will aid young people’s progression towards positive outcomes.

There is scope for you to be creative in this role and make a significant difference to the young people you work with. This is a very exciting and varied role as you could be delivering a piece of group work on emotional resilience, running one to ones with young people, delivering detached work or part of a team for outdoor activities. Due to this, a flexible approach to work including willingness to take on tasks outside of the normal remit and to work irregular hours, is essential in this role.
