Responsibilities
- Develop financial & other support from individuals, community groups, businesses, & other organisations
- Contribute to the delivery and development of the fundraising strategy
- Forge and maintain strong supporter relationships
- Support the voluntary fundraising committee
- Create, deliver, and grow engaging fundraising initiatives
- Promote the charity, its objectives, work, impact, & activities
- Represent the charity at networking events, talks & meetings
- Research opportunities for raising awareness & funds
- Any other duties as requested, which are in line with the general tenor of the role.
Person Specification:
- Able to carry out a broad range of supporter development/fundraising initiatives
- Able to think strategically
- Excellent English communication skills and an engaging presentation style
- Recruiting, developing, and retaining donors
- Managing budgets
- Excellent attention to detail
- Driver (with vehicle available for work).
Desirable:
- CIoF Certificate in Fundraising or similar qualification
- Working knowledge of the Code of Fundraising Practice
- Knowledge of the Berkshire area, & local organisations
- Event management
- Understanding demands of working with vulnerable adults and/or health professionals
- Working effectively with local media.
