Social Activities Co-ordinator – closing date 17 January 2022

Would you like a job that has a real impact on the lives of older people? An exciting opportunity has arisen to bring a new Coordinator into our team. We’re looking for a motivated, resourceful, capable person to become a leader of support services for older people in Reading.

The last 2 years have been challenging for us all but especially older people. At AUKR, we have seen that many have been forced to retreat into their homes as covid caused lockdown after lockdown. Social opportunities have been closed and stayed closed. Many of those who have needed the most support have had the fewest chances to get out of their home to mix with family and friends. In 2022, AUKR has a mission to bring back social activity for older people.

Could you be the person to focus entirely on bringing back a range of high quality and varied social stimulation? Could you lead other staff and volunteers in bringing people together, providing a range of activities – from active sports to therapeutic dementia sessions? Work with the CEO, other coordinators, staff and volunteer teams to make a huge difference. Would you like to join us?
