Senior Horticultural Therapist – closing date 21 February 2020

An exciting opportunity to lead the team at the award-winning Ridgeline Therapeutic Garden in East Reading and to help improve people’s lives. Can you help us achieve our aims to maintain and improve our service to our clients and increase the use of the garden over the next 18 months and beyond?

Our service provision

We offer social and therapeutic horticulture to help people with experience of physical and mental disabilities and other special needs. We are looking for an experienced gardener with recognised qualifications in Horticultural Therapy to lead our team of staff, volunteers and clients.

Hours

We need you for 12 to 15 hours per week, principally on Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday, with the possibility of Friday morning sessions in term time, subject to your availability.

Working in a team

You will work with another qualified Horticultural Therapist, who runs the Monday morning sessions, and an assistant therapist to help you on Tuesdays. You will also enjoy the help of our experienced volunteers and excellent administrative support from our Development Manager. The Chair and Trustees are engaged and active in planning and supporting all the activities delivered by Ridgeline Trust.
