Project Support Officer – closing date 9 Aug 2024

Green Health Thames Valley (GHTV) is a small charity that provides horticulture therapy for people who need support with their mental health. Our services are run from a dedicated community garden in the Whitley area of Reading every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the year.

Owing to the high demand for our services, we are now looking to take on a Project Support Officer who will support our team.

Hours of work: 8 hours a week from 10.00 am until 2 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is a freelance/self employed role.

You will be the initial point of contact for referrers, beneficiaries and volunteers, providing administrative support as well as assistance with the recruitment and the co-ordination of beneficiaries and volunteers. You will have excellent administrative, IT and interpersonal skills, and will be a reliable, friendly and committed team player who can work equally well on your own or as part of a team.

Whilst we don’t expect you to have prior experience of working in a mental health setting, you would need to be empathetic to the various mental health challenges our beneficiaries face.
