Reading Deaf Centre promotes independence and equality of opportunity for Deaf people living in the communities of Reading, Wokingham and the surrounding area.
We are looking for a part-time Centre Co-ordinator to:
- Deal with the utilities and other bills for the Centre, ensuring costs are managed to tight budgets.
- Promote the Centre and room hire facilities, liaise with Centre Tenants.
- Assist with completing fund raising applications and reviewing policy documentation.
The successful candidate should have a minimum level 4 BSL (British Sign Language) or appropriate experience and English skills, with the ability to work independently. An IAG (Information, Advice & Guidance) qualification would be beneficial.
Whilst the Information Office is open Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 9.30am to 1pm. We are looking to at least cover the remainder of the week, with 3 days at 3.5 hours per day.
When the Information Officer is on leave or absent due to sickness, we would hope the successful candidates would be flexible with their hours to provide temporary cover.
The starting salary is negotiable and will be based on an hourly rate between £13 – £18 per hour, dependant on experience and qualifications.
