An opportunity has now arisen for a Debt Adviser to join a new Reading Borough Council funded project to provide debt advice to local residents.

The Debt Adviser will be the initial point of contact for new clients seeking help, completing a triage and debt assessment with each new client to understand their situation and give initial advice. For more vulnerable clients or those with complex issues, the Debt Adviser will work with the Debt Caseworker and Debt Team Leader to determine next steps – either signposting to another agency or preparing the client’s case for casework delivered by the Debt Caseworker.
