*Fixed term, 2 years (approx. July 2023-July 2025), funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund*
This is a rare opportunity to enable people from all walks of life to explore the history of renewable energy. Can you help people to participate and consider ways to combat climate change? If so, then we encourage you to apply.
As Information & Engagement Manager you will manage and deliver project activities for ‘Reading emPOWERed’. Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and made possible by National Lottery players, this project focuses on the local and global history of two renewable energy sources — wind and water — by drawing on the Trust’s existing records of milling heritage, the creation of new archival material and contributions.
You will engage and build relationships with diverse local communities, expand learning and understanding of the history of milling and renewable energy sources, and enhance the Trust’s local and national reputation.
You will establish the place of milling history within wider contexts, using milling as a lens through which to understand and engage with the past, and advocate for the contemporary relevance of the past for current and future generations.
