About the role:
The rare opportunity to connect history with the present and future, you will manage and deliver project activities for our ‘Reading emPOWERed’ project. You will expand learning opportunities about the history of wind and water power and their contemporary relevance for Reading people. You will engage local communities representing a range of backgrounds and experiences with our historical records to discover and value their wind and waterpower heritage.
Key responsibilities:
1. Ensure successful project delivery, monitoring the project and supporting evaluation.
2. Build narratives and produce promotional and educational resources covering social, economic and technological history to widen engagement, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for different interest levels.
3. Recruit and manage project interns and volunteers.
4. Create impact case studies.
You will have:
1. A good degree and excellent writing and research skills.
2. Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
3. Passion for history.
4. Commitment to education and lifelong learning.
5. Organisation skills, and be dependable and independent.
