Finance Assistant – closing date 13 January 2021

PACT is one of the UK’s leading independent adoption charities, placing children with secure and loving families and supporting them with specialist therapeutic support.

PACT also runs inspirational community projects supporting vulnerable children and adults facing a range of issues including domestic abuse, homelessness and debt.

The Finance Assistant will work as part of a small finance team and will be responsible for the whole purchase ledger, from posting invoices to preparing the payment run for BACs.

The postholder will also support with the maintenance of the Access Accounting Asset register system and assist with the preparation of the working papers and journals to produce periodic management and statutory accounts, annual budgets, and year end forecasts.

We are looking for someone with previous experience of working in finance using computerised accounts systems (preferably Access), with excellent computer literacy skills, and with a working knowledge of double entry bookkeeping.

You will be a strong team player with an excellent telephone manner, confident in dealing with day to day queries from colleagues and suppliers.
