Earley Project Senior Project Officer – closing date 14 February 2022

About the role

At present home based, this exciting role supports TCV in enabling people and communities in Reading, to improve their health, prospects and outdoor places. Role includes:

  • Delivery of the Earley Charity funded Reading Green Action Project.
  • Developing, planning and leading the Reading Bio-diversity Action Team.
  • Closely working with the Earley Charity, local authority partners and other local third sector organisations.
  • Marketing and Publicity
  • Recruiting and developing Volunteer Officers to support the project.
Experience required
  • Co-ordinating volunteers.
  • Planning and leading conservation projects.
  • Partnership working to deliver community projects.
  • Working with community groups.
  • Running educational sessions.
  • Knowledge of practical conservation, countryside management and horticultural skills.

The successful candidate will also be a strong team player who is resourceful and flexible, bringing creativity and innovation to the team. You will work as part of TCV team which runs the Reading office and delivers outreach work across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Southern Oxfordshire. We are a small team of staff & volunteers, supporting each other on all areas of work.

A full manual driving licence is required as the post holder will have to drive one of the Reading office’s fleet of vans. This post is subject to an DBS check.
