Dementia Friendly West Berkshire Co-ordinator – closing date 10 May 2023

To provide extensive support for Dementia Friendly West Berkshire (DFWB) and lead on dementia awareness and understanding across West Berkshire.

The role consists of marketing and communication, administration and coordination with a view to growing the reach and awareness of Dementia Friendly West Berkshire.

1 Be the single point of contact and lead on the promotion and awareness raising of the DFWB and its projects.

2 Working with the Chair of DFWB to expand the reach of the group, utilising and supporting members.

3 Deliver and execute marketing and communications strategy across all media to support, promote and increase awareness of the DFWB and its work.

4 Develop and keep a wide range of stakeholders up-to-date and positive about supporting DFWB.

5 Keep up to date and target different communities, neighbourhoods and streets to develop and introduce tools to increase awareness and knowledge of DFWB.

6 Provide oversight and support for local dementia community initiatives such as Memory Cafes and social activities . To encourage the development of more community initiatives and attend where appropriate.

7 Gather knowledge and information to ensure that a robust database, the website and the directory is kept of local dementia friendly activities and events
