A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and focused individual to take on the pivotal role of being the Smart Works Reading Centre Manager. This new position plays a key role leading a small team as our charity enters an ambitious period of growth: we plan to double the number of women we help over the next three years. The successful candidate has a self-starting and proactive approach, excellent organisational and relationship building skills plus the ability and confidence to take responsibility for the management of the Smart Works Reading Centre.
The Centre Manager has overall responsibility for all day-to-day operations of Smart Works Reading including direct line management responsibility for three members of staff as well as overseeing the recruitment, training and management of interns and a dedicated team of volunteers. The post holder will build strong working relations with our Chair and Board of Trustees, as well as staff of Smart Works HQ. On the service delivery side, there will be significant interactions with a diverse group including clients and referral partners (for example Job Centre Plus) and retail partners. In addition, the post holder will manage or oversee stewardship of fundraising relationships.
