You would be the first point of contact as people come to Abbeyfield House, ensuring that professional, high quality customer care is delivered in a consistent way. In addition to reception duties completing a range of administrative duties supporting the home’s Manager.
This six-month part-time job is available as part of the government’s Kickstart scheme. The post is open to anybody aged 16-24 in receipt of Universal Credit. Young people can apply by visiting their local job centre and speaking to their Work Coach and referencing the job title above.
As part of their paid job at The Abbeyfield Reading Society successful applicants will also take part in a supported six-month development offer delivered by Charityworks. The programme will equip the young person with the connections, experiences, tools and insight needed to succeed in their day job, and will also help them to build a peer community, and skills to transition well beyond the placement, and develop long term careers in the non-profit sector.
