A Branch Manager is required to oversee the work of Reading Frontline, which is part of a Christian charity called Frontline Debt Advice, providing free debt and benefit advice to the local community. Reading Frontline has 12 experienced volunteer advisers.
The Branch Manager will be required to:
- Ensure the office is appropriately staffed
- Recruit volunteer advisers, and arrange for their training, development and supervision.
- Represent Frontline in the local community, in particular network with referral agencies, churches and other anti poverty agencies.
- Provide information as required to the Trustees and CEO.
- Ensure the policies and procedures of the charity are adhered to.
- Ensure the branch is suitably funded.
Experience in managing a small office, working in the local community, or liaising with a head office would be an advantage.
The role is wide-ranging but the time commitment each week can be as little as a few hours. Space is available to work in our office but most of the tasks can also be completed from home.
