Alana House is an innovative women’s community project that uses a trauma-informed approach to support women facing multiple disadvantages, including those at risk of offending. It provides a safe, women only space with the aim to empower and enable women to access support, and improve the outcomes for them, their families and community.
Bounce Back for Kids is a support programme for children and families affected by domestic abuse. The programme uses therapeutic techniques, aimed at children aged 3-11 years and their non-abusing parent. Developed by PACT it provides support to families once the abuse has ended and the perpetrator is no longer living in the family home.
The Assistant Support Worker will work across Alana House and BB4K services supporting through groupwork, short assessments and holding a small case load providing one-to-one support. The objective of the role is to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to enable service users to make positive changes in theirs and their children’s lives and reduce the likelihood of further trauma.
