Our Vision is ‘Inclusion for All’ children with additional needs and disabilities. Me2 Club match children who have additional needs or disabilities with committed and passionate volunteers to help them attend and take part in mainstream leisure activities. We tackle the impact of exclusion and social isolation experienced by children and help build their confidence, self-esteem and independence.
We are looking to recruit two Activities and Volunteers Coordinator (AVC) for 1 year maternity cover. AVCs support a caseload of children, taking time to get to know them and their families and understanding their support needs and interests. AVCs play a crucial role in carefully matching children to volunteer buddies, helping to build strong and nurturing relationships. AVCs work as part of a team to recruit, train and provide ongoing support to our volunteers.
Experience:
- Have experience supporting children and young people with additional needs and disabilities
- Be passionate about ensuring inclusion for all children and young people
- Be able to quickly build trusting and meaningful relationships with children and their families.
Hours of work: 0.6FTE (22.5hours over 3 days). This role involves frequent evening working and occasional weekend working.
