GBA is excited the announce it is funding a new This Mum Moves Ambassador Training session on MONDAY 11th MARCH (9am to 1.30pm).

Feedback from the previous courses run in the last year was excellent and we are delighted to be able to offer FREE places to anyone working or delivering in Berkshire who might work with pre or post-natal mothers and who has regular contact with women during their childbearing years – this could include (but is not limited to) midwives, health visitors, any other healthcare professional working in maternity, GPs, exercise instructors, social prescribers, volunteers, etc.

The half-day online training event will equip people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to discuss physical activity during pregnancy and after childbirth. The training is delivered by The Institute of Health Visitors and The Active Pregnancy Foundation live via Zoom and will provide learners with access to a digital toolkit to support conversations and further learning. You will need to undertake one hour of online preparatory work online prior to the course.

TO APPLY for a FREE funded place please contact denise.peplow@getberkshireactive.org for Expression of Interest form and we will email applicants back by 28th February at the latest to let them know if they have been successful in obtaining a place. Places are limited to 24 and, once the course is full, we will run a waiting list.
The training has been accredited by the CPD Standards Office and equates to 3 CPD points – it would normally cost £175 per person.
