Stop Loan Sharks Webinar

Tuesday 13 October 2020

The Stop Loan Sharks Webinar is working to enhance community safety, promote safeguarding and ensure financial wellbeing. A loan shark is someone who lends money, they often use violence and intimidation if payments are missed.

This training will be of interest to people and practitioners that provide help to the individuals, families and groups that you support. This training can be accessed from the comfort of your own desk or home.

About this event

The purpose of loan shark training is to provide information and knowledge about the issue, how it relates to your work in Berkshire (and beyond) and how we can help those who have borrowed from illegal lenders. The session will include key things to look out for as a sign that a friend, client or colleague may be involved with a loan shark and will show the impact that illegal lenders have on victims and communities and how we can work together to stop people falling into the clutches of criminals.
