This training session, led by Sarah Hughes (Royal Berks Hospital) and Jane Heath (Team Manager Children and Young People’s Disability Team, Brighter Futures for Children) is ideal for professionals working regularly with children and young people with disabilities. It is assumed that those attended have completed level 1 and 2 safeguarding training previously.
It will have a strong focus on case-based learning, looking at a range of serious case reviews, as well as local learning, to help attendees build confidence in understanding thresholds and processes relating to this group of children and young people.
Berkshire West Safeguarding Partnership Forum
The Berkshire West Safeguarding Partnership Forum is open to everyone whose service works with the children, young people, parents/carers and families. If you are working in a public facing role across Reading, Wokingham or West Berkshire you will almost certainly benefit from attending this free session. The Berkshire West Safeguarding Partnership Forum is an opportunity to gain information about local and national learning, current initiatives, network and share good practice or concerns. Meeting quarterly, each session will start with a presentation/learning opportunity followed by a more informal discussion.
