Safeguarding bitesize session: What should I do if I suspect financial abuse?

Monday 9 November 2020

This free bite-sized workshop is delivered by the West of Berkshire Safeguarding Adults Board and is open to all sectors in Reading, West Berkshire and Wokingham, including voluntary organisations and charities.

This workshop has been arranged in response to the Safeguarding Adult Review of Daniel which can be found here.

The workshop will include presentations on the roles and responsibilities of agencies and include presentations from:

  • Jo Wilkins  – Reading Borough Council Safeguarding Team.
  • Sarah Bradshaw – Thames Valley Police
  • Andrew Scott – Office of Public Guardian
  • Malcom Philips and Natalie Hill – Trading Standards

There will be an opportunity for questions at the end of the session. As the workshop is being held virtually it would be preferred that these questions are sent via email to Lynne.Mason@Reading.gov.uk  prior to the session, however there will be opportunity for attendees to ask additional questions on the day.

There is no need to book in advance, just follow this link on the day. You do not need to have Microsoft Teams to join the session, you can access it through the browser option.

For those that do attend you are asked to complete the attached evaluation form to Lynne.Mason@Reading.gov.uk  which will support the Board in planning for its future training programme.
