Social Prescribing outcomes star showing improved situation for client

Introduction to the Outcomes Star for charities and community groups

Wednesday 21 October 2020
An introduction to using the Outcomes Star, an evidence-based tool for supporting and measuring change – for the voluntary and community sector in Reading

The Outcomes Star offers an holistic approach to supporting and measuring change in people’s lives. It is visual and user-friendly, enabling people using the tool to have strong ownership of the change process. Change is measured on a 10-point scale against a range of criteria. There are clear descriptors for each point that support conversations between organisations and service users. The Outcomes Star can help to evaluate outcomes and demonstrate the impact of services.

By the end of this course, you will have:
  • explored the features of the Outcomes Star including how it measures and supports change.
  • carried out practical exercises using the Outcomes Stars so that you are prepared and confident in using the tool.

The course tutor is Nerin Swanton from Brighter Futures for Children. Nerin is a licensed trainer through Triangle. Triangle copyright the Outcome Star and any users are required to have been through the training. Read more on the Triangle website.
