Fire Marshall Training, Oct 2025 – 1 free space for a charity or community group

This training session is hosted by REDA and they have collaborated with RVA to offer one free place for someone from a charity or community group to attend.

This in-person training covers everything you need to know to keep yourself and others in your group and service users safe in case of a fire emergency. Learn about fire prevention, evacuation procedures, and how to effectively use fire extinguishers.

This level 2 accredited fire safety course will cover:

  • Understand the hazards and risks associated with a fire in the workplace
  • The fire triangle and its components
  • Hazards during or after a fire including products of combustion
  • Characteristics of fire and smoke spread
  • Understand how fire risk is controlled in the workplace
  • Methods used to identify and control risk hazards
  • Different “means of escape “
  • Methods of detection and raising alarms
  • Principles of extinguishing fire
  • Portable fire-fighting equipment – how it should be used safely
  • Identifying what different fire extinguishers can extinguish
