The level of uncertainty as to where Brexit will take us makes contingency planning more difficult, but preparing your organisation to the extent possible is crucial.

NCVO have prepared guidance to help charities anticipate and mitigate the effects on their organisation.

No Deal Brexit and the Voluntary Sector

In particular, there are some really useful sections on the impact of a no-deal brexit on:

  • EU Funding
  • employing EU nationals
  • Volunteering
  • Product, data and environment standards

Each section sets out the current legal position and what could change following a no-deal Brexit on 31 October. This will help charities to identify the major risks and what actions they can take now and anticipate taking following exit date.
