Winston’s Wish, the childhood bereavement charity, has created four free e-learning courses for those in contact with bereaved children.
These online training courses will help you understand how grief affects a child or young person and how you can help them cope with their grief. The courses are designed for schools, but would be useful for anyone who works with bereaved children:
- Childhood Bereavement: An Introduction (Primary Schools)
- What You Can Do To Help (Primary Schools)
- Childhood Bereavement: An Introduction (Secondary Schools)
- What You Can Do To Help (Secondary Schools)
The courses are available via the Winston’s Wish website and are free of charge to all – just follow the link below and complete a registration form. They have been written by the Winston’s Wish team and created by Learning Nexus.
Winston’s Wish was the UK’s first childhood bereavement charity, founded in 1992. Their core mission is to give hope to grieving children. Through the provision of support via a freephone national helpline, online and digital services, group support and face-to-face help in individual and family settings, Winston’s Wish aims to provide coping mechanisms to the more than 100 children who are bereaved every day.
