Berkshire Healthcare NHS FoundationTrust currently has an elected governor vacancy for the Reading locality.
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is the NHS supplier of mental health care and community heath care for Berkshire. It is rated Outstanding, has an anti-racist commitment and is a Stonewall Top 100 employer.
Its Governors help shape the way the Trust works to make sure it continues to provide outstanding care and support services.
As an elected Governor you will be given the chance to visit the trust’s services, learn about them and discuss and review them with board members and fellow governors.
To be a governor you must be 16 or over and a member of the trust (free and without obligation – join at berkshirehealthcare.nhs.uk/get-involved). You can nominate yourself as a governor. You should be free to attend some daytime meetings (online or in person) and visits and be prepared to look through written reports with graphical content. Commitment could be about 20 days a year.
